With their 99 mm dri­vers, STATEX head­pho­nes deli­ver an excep­tio­nal­ly trans­pa­rent, natu­ral lis­tening expe­ri­ence, exten­ding the fre­quen­cy ran­ge to an impres­si­ve 100 kHz. At the heart of every STATEX elec­tro­sta­tic head­pho­ne lies an ultra-light­weight dia­phragm made from a film just 2 micro­me­ters thick, sus­pen­ded bet­ween two pre­cis­e­ly per­fo­ra­ted metal sta­tors. A high elec­tri­cal vol­ta­ge, com­bi­ned with careful­ly con­trol­led modu­la­ti­on, sets the dia­phragm into moti­on, moving the sur­roun­ding air to crea­te sound.

Becau­se the dia­phragm is ligh­ter than the air it moves, it can respond to the inco­ming signal with extra­or­di­na­ry speed and pre­cis­i­on. The result is a remar­kab­ly fast, detail­ed, and natu­ral pre­sen­ta­ti­on, with excep­tio­nal­ly low levels of colo­ra­ti­on and dis­tor­ti­on. Every nuan­ce of the music is repro­du­ced with cla­ri­ty, deli­ca­cy, and accuracy.

Cable Sheathing

The cable sheathing is made of natu­ral cot­ton, which was cho­sen for its sof­ter tex­tu­re and its abili­ty to dam­pen mecha­ni­cal­ly trans­mit­ted noi­se to the head­pho­nes. Com­pared to har­der poly­es­ter sheathing, the cot­ton sheathing redu­ces unwan­ted micro­pho­ne effects cau­sed by tou­ch­ing or moving the cable.
